Having wound its way through the beauty of Anatolia for the past five years, the Transanatolia Rally Raid is preparing to take the excitement to another level in its sixth year, with a changed route, increased technical and safety equipment, the involvement of international broadcasters and a growing number of entries from the Dakar Rally, the world's toughest rally.

Taking place between 22 and 29 August 2015, the 6th Transanatolia Rally Raid is Turkey's first rally raid, lasting a full seven days over a tough course of dirt, mud and water crossings, with rally motorcycles, off-road vehicles, ATVs and buggies taking part.

Starting in Ankara, passing through Tuz Gölü, Cappadocia, Sivas, Erzincan, Erzurum, Kars, Giresun, Tokat and Yozgat, and finishing back in Ankara, the 6th Transanatolia Rally Raid, with a total route of 3,170 km, is one of the longest and toughest rally raids in the world.

With stages averaging 400 km a day needed to complete the course, the rally raid will feature world-famous Dakar Rally competitors such as Laia Sanz, Helder Rodrigues, Olivier Pain, Paolo Ceci, Alessandro Botturi and Gerrard Farres alongside Turkish off-road car and motorcycle drivers. In 2015 the Transanatolia Rally Raid continues its mission of showcasing Turkey's untouched regions and the fading Anatolian culture, and of building a bridge of culture and friendship at a regional level.
