TransAnatolia Route Revealed

The route for TransAnatolia Rally Raid, which will be held from 22-29 August, has been revealed. Covering Turkey's natural beauty and historically significant points of Anatolia, the route is 2,800km long. Stretching towards the north-east, the route starts and finishes in Ankara.
As last year, the capital Ankara will host the start ceremony and the finish podium. In 2015 the route will follow Ankara, Tuz Gölü (Konya), Cappadocia (Nevşehir), Akdağlar (Sivas), Otlukbeli Mountain (Erzincan and Erzurum), Sarıkamış (Kars), Allahuekbar Mountains (Erzurum), Otlukbeli Mountain (Erzincan), Yaylalar (Giresun, Tokat and Yozgat) and back to Ankara. In addition to stages that have been used before, the route also features completely new stages.

Camps will be set up at three different locations during the seven-day gruelling event. Four nights in total will be spent at the camps, with two nights in hotels.
