Team Mobil 1 Win Final Round as TEXOFF Take Championship Title

Round 6 of the 2015 Turkish Trial Championship was organised by Beykoz Off Road Spor Kulübü (BEYOFF) at the Intercity Istanbul Park off-road area. Intercity Istanbul Park, known until now only for circuit racing, opened its doors to off-road competition with this event on 28-29 November 2015.

Run in tough weather conditions on difficult courses, the event made for a visual spectacle for spectators. Despite the cold and windy weather, large groups of spectators stayed to support the competitors.

The stage held on Saturday 28 November became extremely demanding because of its obstacles and the heavy rain. On the first day, only 5 of the 12 teams entered managed to complete the course. The winners of that tough opening day were the Texoff, Team Mobil1 and Magnum Motorsport teams.

With the rain easing, the fight intensified on the second day of the event, when 11 teams started. In a closely contested battle, DOSD Offroad Team, the 11th and last team onto the course, was the only team to complete it.

The overall classification of the two-day, two-stage event was fitting for a season finale… After a hard-fought contest between 12 teams made up of 48 competitors and 24 vehicles, the overall win went to Team Mobil 1, comprising Ertan Uçar - Berat Atagün and Hakan Çarker - Ayhan Ademoğlu. Second place overall was shared by 3 teams who finished the day level on points. Texoff, made up of Emirhan Kutlu - Ali Çapan and Uğur Demirci - Samet Aygül; DOSD Offroad Team, made up of Erkan Kaynak - Cemafer Bulut and Avni İnce - Ali Demirayak; and Aydoff Trial Team, made up of Seda Özkutlu - Şahhaydar Argaç and Adnan Ofluoğlu - Selçuk Akan, were the teams to take second place.

Following this event, TEXOFF reached 95 points to claim the 2015 Turkish Trial Championship title, while Team Mobil 1 finished second, one point behind, and Teleferik Offroad Team took third with 83 points.
