Fierce Competition in the Classes
On the finish podium in front of the Crowne Plaza Bursa on Sunday 24 July, the Class 3 win at the 41st Yeşil Bursa Rally went to Ahmet Burkay-Bilge Ayan of BC Vision Motorsport, who switched to a Peugeot 208 R2 from this event onwards.
Although Murat Bostancı-Onur Vatansever were announced as the Class 4 winners on the finish podium, a correction to the Super Rally time penalty at the final stewards' meeting dropped Bostancı two places in the class, and the win went to Ümitcan Özdemir-Sevilay Genç in a Ford Fiesta R2T for Castrol Ford Team Türkiye. Genç was also the best female co-driver of the rally, while the 'best young driver' award went to Uğurtan Ünal, who competed with Can Altınok.
In Class N, Menderes Okur-Bora Arabacı, competing as privateers in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, took the victory, while Class 5 was won once again by privateers Emrah Ali Başo-Gürkal Menderes in a Ford Fiesta R1.
The young driver winner of the demanding two-day rally was Emre Hasbay in a Ford Fiesta ST, competing alongside Afşin Baydar.
