ANDOFF Sets the Tone as Turkish Off-road Championship Season Opens

The opening round of the Turkish Off-road Championship, organised by the Ankara Offroad Club (ANDOFF) on 16-17 March in the village of Mühye in Çankaya, ended in victory for the Nihat Keskin-Yasemin Biber Toker crew. Competing in a Suzuki Samurai, the crew also took the Class 2 win with 94 points.
Competing for EVL Garage in a Nissan XTerra, Kenan-Harun Çarpışantürk finished second overall and won Class 3 with 87 points, while first-day leader İsmail Ayhan-Levent Köremezli, in a Mitsubishi L200, took third overall and the Class 4 win with 86 points to begin the season.
Twenty-three vehicles and 46 competitors battled difficult weather and terrain over the two days, and the Class 1 win went to the Bora-Bülent Köse crew, driving a Suzuki Vitara for Yeniyol Ofset. In the team standings, 54 Redline Offroad Team led with 195 points, with Yeniyol Ofset second on 116 points and EVL Garage third on 106 points.
The 2019 Turkish Off-road Championship continues with the second round in Denizli Merkezefendi on 27-28 April.
