Saray-Zurnacı Take the Championship Lead

Round 5 of the 2017 Turkish Off-road Championship was organised by İstanbul Park Spor Kulübü, abbreviated as İPSK, on 19-20 August. The event, which attracted 18 vehicles and 36 competitors, was run in the forest on the first day and on a special track built inside Istanbul Park on the second.After seven stages, the Sakarya-based crew of Mustafa Saray-Samet Zurnacı, in a Jeep Cheeroke, took the overall win and the Class 4 victory. The result lifted Mustafa Saray to the lead of the Turkish Off-road Championship with a total of 68 points. Second overall and the Class 2 win went to Nihat Keskin-Yasemin Biber Toker in a Suzuki Samurai, while Özgür Yaprak-Hasan Armutçu, in a Land Rover Defender, finished third overall and won Class 4. 54 Redline Team won the teams' classification once again and also took the TOSFED encouragement award.
Round 6 of the 2017 Turkish Off-road Championship will be organised by Vezirköprü Offroad Kulübü (VEZİROFF) in the Vezirköprü district of Samsun on 23-24 September.
