Local Off-Road Excitement in Sakarya

The 2nd Local Off-road Races, organised by 54 Otomobil Sporları Kulübü and sponsored by Adapazarı Municipality, took place in Sakarya. At the event held on the track in Korucuk neighbourhood, 15 vehicles and 30 competitors battled it out over 3 stages.

In the overall classification, Ali Özdemir finished first, Zeki Karaçaylı second and Evren Gökgün third. The class winners were Ali İşler in Class 1, Ferhat Bakır in Class 2, Zeki Karaçaylı in Class 3 and Ali Özdemir in Class 4. After the races were completed, medals and trophies were presented to the top finishers.

Event director Beytullah Özenir said in a statement that the competitors started three times in the spectator stage and that each stage was run over four laps. Confirming that 15 crews took part in the event, Özenir said: "The event is going very well, everything is on track. The weather is excellent and there is strong interest from the spectators. I would like to thank our sponsors, above all our Governor Hüseyin Avni Coş. Their contribution to the races is huge."
