Fahimreza Takes the Win at Red Bull Car Park Drift

Turkey's best drivers shared out the honours at the Red Bull Car Park Drift Turkey Final, where the country's top drifter was decided. Held at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track in partnership with the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation TOSFED and the Drift Club, and sponsored by Falken, the Red Bull Car Park Drift Turkey Final ended in victory for Turkey-based Iranian driver Fahimreza Keykhosravi, who beat his rivals to the title.
Of 37 talented drivers, 19 made it through the eliminations, and their powerful cars produced smoke-filled battles at the top. The event brought thousands of spectators together at Körfez for the first time in years. Fahimreza, winner of the big showdown, was followed by Ali İnal in second and İbrahim Yücebaş from the TRNC in third.
These three drivers also earned the right to represent Turkey at the Red Bull Car Park Drift World Final in Istanbul on 1 September. During the event, in which the talented drivers showed off their skills, the sporting director, world-famous Red Bull athlete Abdo Feghali, put on a show performance in front of thousands of spectators.
'It was an adrenaline-filled weekend'
Noting that drifting is attracting great interest in Turkey, as it is all over the world, TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı said: "The Red Bull Car Park Drift event brought a new colour and excitement to drifting, and gave both competitors and spectators an adrenaline-filled weekend. We would like to thank Red Bull very much for making a big contribution to the development of motorsport in our country, drifting in particular. I wish the Red Bull Car Park Drift World Final, which we will host in Istanbul on 1 September, and the drivers who will represent our country every success in advance."
'We are waiting for everyone in Istanbul'
Red Bull athlete and race director Abdo Feghali, who said they had staged a very enjoyable Red Bull Car Park Drift Turkey Final, said: "Many drift enthusiasts in Turkey loved this event. The interest in the race is proof of that. I hope we can hold more Red Bull Car Park Drift events in Turkey. That way, people can make small modifications to their own cars and drift in safe areas without taking on huge costs. With Red Bull Car Park Drift, we are helping to produce champions from everyone who has passion and talent. We are waiting for everyone at the Red Bull Car Park Drift World Final in Istanbul on 1 September."
