Rally Excitement Heads to Istanbul

The İTO 40th Istanbul Rally, the fourth round of the 2019 Turkish Rally Championship, will be run by the Istanbul Automobile Sports Club (İSOK) on 6-7 July on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
Backed by title sponsor the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, and supported by Budget, Otokoç 2. El, Ford Otosan, ViaPort Marina, Sardunya, the Touring and Automobile Club of Turkey, Fora Vehicle Tracking Systems, Auto Club, Power FM, Tuzla Municipality and Spor Toto, the event will be run on 238.73 kilometres of gravel roads around Ballıca, Göçbeyli, Oruçoğlu and Bıçkıdere in the Şile district, 107.19 kilometres of which are special stages.
The rally also awards points to the Turkish Historic Rally Championship and the Zafer Vatansever Rally Cup. Following the start ceremony at ViaPort Marina in Tuzla at 12.30 on Saturday 6 July, the crews will complete the first day after tackling five special stages. On the second day, Sunday 7 July, the crews will leave the service park for the first stage at 10.20, and after five more special stages they will complete the demanding rally from 15.45.
After the first three rounds, Murat Bostancı-Onur Vatansever of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye lead the Turkish Rally Championship, while Fatih Kara-Bilge Ayan of Fiat Motorsporları top the Turkish Two-Wheel-Drive Rally Championship, Uygar Birgili-Afşin Baydar lead the Turkish Historic Rally Championship and İlhan Mutluay-Cumhur Önder head the Zafer Vatansever Rally Cup.
