Red Bull Car Park Drift Comes to Bursa
Red Bull Car Park Drift, one of the world's most important drifting series, has come to Turkey for the third time. At the event in Bursa, Berfu Tutumlu came out on top to be crowned Turkey's best drifting driver.
At the Turkey Final, the seventh round of the 2021 Red Bull Car Park Drift season, 23 fast competitors in powerful cars fought out a smoky battle for the top spot and gave spectators plenty to cheer about. Tutumlu, who claimed victory after a high-octane fight, earned the right to represent Turkey at the Red Bull Car Park Drift World Final in Egypt in November. In the event, where current 2021 World Superbike Championship leader and Red Bull athlete Toprak Razgatlıoğlu was among the judges, Levent Enön finished second and Ege Bilaloğlu third.
Feghali: "Turkey has fallen in love with Red Bull Car Park Drift"
At the Red Bull Car Park Drift Turkey Final, organised by the Drift Motorsport Club, race director and renowned Red Bull athlete Abdo Feghali also performed a breathtaking demonstration run. Impressing the crowd in his car fitted with Falken tyres, Feghali said: "We have put on another great event in Turkey. Turkey is a real drifting country. I saw that at the World Final, and now I have seen it once again. I love being in Turkey and meeting the drifting competitors here. Berfu Tutumlu, who won here, has a serious chance of the title at the World Final too. Many thanks to everyone who took part and to everyone who stayed with us to watch the event despite the hot weather." 
From the Academy to the Final
The Red Bull Car Park Drift Turkey Final also hosted something new this year. Five drivers who succeeded at the Drift Academy, held ahead of the contest to decide Turkey's best drifting driver, took part in the finals. Ahmet Parlatan and Ersan Şahinkır, who received training in the finer points of the sport from Abdo Feghali, the creator of the Red Bull Car Park Drift format, and finished in the top five in the event, appeared at the Turkey Final alongside Asaf Akyol, Çağatay Arıca and Farnoush Rezaei.
