Rally Halikarnassos Rocks Bodrum

Rally Halikarnassos got under way with a ceremonial start at 16:30 on Thursday 19 April, following scrutineering at the Bodrum Municipality Medyanı. Setting out from central Bodrum, the event ran through the stages around Güvercinlik, Mumcular, Uyku Vadisi and Yalı Çiftlik on Friday 20 April; took a ferry to Datça for the stages around Gökova on Saturday 21 April; and finished on Sunday 22 April after the Yalıçiflik, Mumcular and Güvercinlik stages were run on a different route, covering an average of 544 km over the three days.

Born out of the Transanatolia team's approach to organising events that add value to tourism, Rally Halikarnassos took place with the support of Bodrum Municipality and sponsorship from TR Extreme, Mitsubishi Motors, BF Goodrich, KTM, SPX, Çağdaş Global and Kule Rock Bar.
Competing on routes prepared to suit both professional and semi-professional drivers, the competitors took part either in the rally category or in the raid category, which is not run against the clock. With motorcycles, ATV-SSVs and 4x4 vehicles that met the technical and safety requirements, the event saw competitors race to get through the demanding routes and witnessed some exciting moments. In the motorcycle category, Serkan Özdemir took victory, with Fırat Şahin second and Selçuk Bektaş third at the finish. In the quad category of the tough event, Muharrem Göksel finished first, with Ertürk Yazıcı second. In the SSV category, Çağdaş Çağlar / Ertuğrul Danışment finished first and Necati Şahin / Ömer Salmaz second. In the car category, Mehmet Tüfekçioğlu / Tuvana Sayar were first, Cenk Gürpınar / Osman Metin second and Burak Ahmet Çepni / Hüseyin Afşar third.
