Rallycross Returns to Its Roots

After a long period in which racing was run as autocross in a single-start format, the 2015 season will see the TOSFED Rallycross Cup return to the multi-car start format that produced such closely fought battles in earlier years. The first two races of the season will be held on 24-25 October at the Orhangazi circuit on the shores of Lake Iznik in Bursa, organised by the Ege Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (EOSK) and the Eskişehir Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (ESOK). The races, which comprise both regional and national classifications, will also use the joker lap employed in the World Rallycross Championship.
Cars will compete in three separate categories according to their technical specification. On both days the programme begins with official practice between 11:00 and 12:00, followed by warm-up heats from 12:30 to 16:00. After the semi-finals, run between 16:00 and 17:00, the events will conclude with the finals at 17:30.
The top finishers in both races will receive their trophies at a prize-giving ceremony at İskele Pub at 18:45 on Sunday 25 October.
