Curtain Falls on Off-road Season in Karabük

The 2017 Turkish Off-road Championship came to an end on 14-15 October with the seventh and final round, organised by the Karabük-Safranbolu Automobile and Nature Sports Search and Rescue Association (KARDOFF) at the Karabük University Çamlıköy site. Followed with great excitement by a large crowd of spectators over two days, the second day of the event was broadcast live on TRTSPOR.
After a closely fought event, Erdoğan Kovancı-Halil İbrahim Elieyi from Karabük took the overall win in a Jeep Wrangler, with İsmail Ayan-Levent Köremezli from Ankara second in a Mitsubishi L200 and Mustafa Saray-Samet Zurnacı from Sakarya third in a Jeep Cherokee.
Mehmet Birkan-Bekir Sami Başkal won Class 2 and İsmail Ayhan-Levent Köremezler took Class 3, while Erdoğan Kovancı-Halil İbrahim Elieyi won Class 4.
At the end of the event, the awards were presented to the top finishers at a ceremony held in the Karabük University Hamit Çepni Hall by Karabük Governor Kemal Çeber, AK Parti Karabük MP Burhanettin Uysal and Karabük University Rector Refik Polat.
