Turkish Off-road Championship Opens Season in Style
The opening round of the Petlas 2021 Turkish Off-road Championship, organised by the Ankara Nature Sports and Off-road Club (ANDOFF) in Kızılcahamam with 34 vehicles and 68 competitors, ended in victory for the Engin Başkurt-Şükrü Mindiloğlu crew. Kenan Özsoy-Harun Deynek finished second, with Mustafa Saray-Samet Zurnacı third, while Bitci Racing Team took the teams' title. 
In the SSV class, Zafer Durmaz-Onur Altan Tan took victory in a Can-Am, while the other class wins were shared by Şehmuz Oğuz-Selman Aybar (Suzuki Grand Vitara) in Class 1, Nihat Keskin-Tankur Toker (Suzuki Samurai) in Class 2, Ergün Çirkin-Soner Öztürk (Mitsubishi Pajero) in Class 3, and overall winners Başkurt-Mindiloğlu in Class 4. 
The event, followed with great excitement by the Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, Mustafa Varank, former Deputy Prime Minister and AK Party MP Emrullah İşler, Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Cemil Lütfi Özkul, Kızılcahamam District Governor Can Aksoy, Kızılcahamam Mayor Süleyman Açar, TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı and many motorsport fans, passed off with a well-run organisation. 
The Petlas 2021 Turkish Off-road Championship continues with the second round on 21-22 August, organised by the Denizli Nature Sports and Off-road Club (DENDOFF) in Denizli's Merkezefendi district.
