Off-road Season Finale Takes Breath Away

The sixth and final round of the 2015 Turkish Off-road Championship was held on 7-8 November 2015 in Kemerburgaz, Istanbul, organised by the Istanbul Off-road Club, known as İSOFF.

Run over a 55 km course in two stages, the event used a mass-start format. A 15-lap race on Saturday 7 November and a 10-lap race on Sunday 8 November gave off-road fans a different kind of excitement. Spectators who filled the Kemerburgaz Çiftealan course enjoyed closely fought racing on both days.

At the end of the two-day event, which nine crews were able to complete, Hüsnü Taylan-Hasan Taylan won the overall classification in their Jeep Cherokee, with Bülent Cevdet Durdu-Barış Güner second in a Mitsubishi Pajero and Onur Alptekin-Tamer Akdağ third in a Suzuki Vitara 2000.

The class winners were Mustafa Akın-Suat Kabal in Class 1, Onur Alptekin-Tamer Akdağ in Class 2, Bülent Cevdet Durdu-Barış Güner in Class 3 and Hüsnü Taylan-Hasan Taylan in Class 4.

The event, which also hosted the third round of the İSOFF Challenge, concluded on Sunday evening with a prize-giving ceremony at the race course.
