Off-Road Fans Head to Çiftalan

The İSOFF Challenge 2017 series continues with its second round, to be held at the Çiftalan track on Sunday 28 May.

In the first race, run on 23 April, Tarık Gökbay-Bülent Gültekin, driving a De Toro, won the overall classification, with Murat Öztiryaki-Mert Öztiryaki second in a Suzuki Grand Vitara and Tuncay Akbulut-Uğur Tepe third in a Jeep Cherokee.The opening race of the season was an enjoyable start, both for the variety of drivers and for the variety of vehicles competing. For spectators, watching eye-catching machines such as buggies, De Toros, Jimny's Ultra 4 and the Can-Am X3 race against each other was a visual treat, while the drivers began to set a more exciting and aggressive pace in the increasingly competitive environment.

In the second round, the crews will again fight to reach the final by progressing through the stages on the strength of their stage times. After qualifying, the race will start with a mass start and consist of 3 stages. In the first stage, which runs for 12 laps, the 16 drivers with the best times will earn the right to start the next stage. In the second stage, over 10 laps, only the 8 fastest crews will go through to the final stage. In the final stage, run over 8 laps, the first driver to see the chequered flag will lift the winner's trophy...This year, to make the racing even more interesting and to give the participating crews at least a symbolic reward for the effort and energy they put in, İSOFF has introduced prize money for the top three crews at the end of the 2017 season. At the end of the season, the winner will receive 10,000 TL, the runner-up 6,000 TL and the third-placed crew 4,000 TL, making a total of 20,000 TL. The third and final round of the cup will be held on 19 November 2017.
