Memi-Pertev Crowned Off-road Champions

The final round of the 2016 Turkish Off-road Championship, organised by Istanbul Park Sports Club (İPSK) with Mirsan as sponsor and featuring 28 vehicles and 56 competitors, has been successfully completed.

The opening day on Saturday 22 October, made up of three passes through the forest stage, ended with championship leader Hüseyin Memi-Ali Pertev in front after setting the fastest time on every stage. On the second day, Memi-Pertev held the lead through all three passes of the spectator stage, taking victory in the number 404 Jeep CJ and with it the 2016 Turkish Off-road Championship title.

Kenan Özsoy-Sebahattin Çağlayan finished the event second in the number 402 Jeep Wrangler, while Arif-Harun Çarpışantürk took third at the finish in the number 323 Mitsubishi Pajero…

İlayda Hancı-Batuhan Korkut won Class 1 in the number 103 Suzuki Grand Vitara, and İrfan Özdemir-Engin Başkurt took Class 2 in the number 203 Suzuki Vitara. İlayda Hancı, the only female off-road competitor to drive all season, also became the "First Female Off-road Champion".
