Jeep Crew Triumphs at Mühye 4x4 Showdown

The third round of the Turkish Off-road Championship ended in victory for the Hüseyin Memi-Ali Pertev crew, competing in a Jeep. The event, organised by Ankara Off-road Club on 28-29 May in the Ankara Mühye district, also drew great interest from spectators.
In an event over two days and six stages, contested by 33 vehicles and 66 competitors, the Hüseyin Memi-Ali Pertev crew took the overall win and the Class 4 victory in their custom Jeep after a tough battle. Brothers Hüsnü-Hasan Taylan finished second, with İrfan Özdemir-Engin Başkurt third in a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
The other class wins went to Deniz - Sibel Dağlı in a Suzuki Vitara in Class 1, İrfan Özdemir-Engin Başkurt in a Suzuki Grand Vitara in Class 2, and the home crew of İsmail Ayhan-Bora Kayım in a Mitsubishi L200 in Class 3. İlayda Hancı, the only female competitor in the event, finished second in Class 1 with Batuhan Korkut as co-driver, keeping alive their championship hopes.
After a long break, the fifth round of the Turkish Off-road Championship will be held in Sinop on 3-4 September, organised by Sinop Off-road Club (SİNOFF).
