Körfez Ready for Karting

Round 6 of the Turkish Karting Championship will be held at the Körfez Karting Circuit on 18-19 October, organised by the Istanbul Karting and Automobile Club. Rounds 5 and 6 of the Rotax Max Challenge will also be run alongside the TKC.

The previous race of the Turkish Karting Championship was cut short and postponed because of heavy rain. After the first four rounds, Zekai Özen leads Mini, Mert Dalkıran leads Formula Junior, Berkay Besler leads Formula Senior and Mehmet Yaman leads Formula Master.

In the Rotax Max Challenge 2014 Cup, six races will be held and the season winner will be decided. In the RMC, which is being run for the first time this year with two-speed, 32 hp Rotax DD2 engines, Orçun Aydemir leads on 403 points after the first 12 races. Berk Durak follows the leader on 391 points. In third place is Master driver Mehmet Çınar on 375 points. At the end of the RMC finals, the drivers who finish first in the DD2 Senior and DD2 Master classes will earn the right to compete in the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final, to be held in Valencia, Spain, in November.
