Konya Comes Alive with Pro Drag

The Pro Drag races, organised by the newly founded KOMOSK - Konya Otomobil ve Motor Spor Kulübü on 13-14 August, drew great interest.
The standing-start event, which also attracted a big crowd of spectators, featured 41 competitors across six different classes, coming from Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya, Mersin, Konya, Adıyaman, Eskişehir and Kayseri.
Drag racing is based on two cars paired in the same group starting simultaneously and completing a quarter-mile (402-metre) course in the shortest possible time. At the end of the racing, Serdar Özen from Antalya won Class 1, Fatih Bilal Danış from Istanbul won Class 2, Mehmet Kuzu from Mersin won Class 3, Ziya Ayanlar from Ankara won Class 4 and Yasin Tolga Kara, also from Ankara, won Class 5.
