Kazaz Jr. Becomes Youngest Rally Champion
The Orhan Yüce 44th Istanbul Rally, the final round of the Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2024 Turkish Rally Championship, ended in victory for the crew of Kerem Kazaz and Corentin Silvestre, who competed for Parkur Racing in a Hyundai i20 N Rally2 with the support of Duja Hotels, Hyundai Motorsport and Unifree.
Kazaz Jr., who took the lead on the second stage and held it all the way to the finish, completed the final rally of the season with victory, 10.4 seconds ahead of the crew of Ümit Can Özdemir and Kutay Ertuğrul. With this win, 18-year-old Kerem became the youngest champion in the history of the Turkish Rally Championship, and also claimed the juniors' championship and the Class 2 title.
Red Bull driver Ali Türkkan, another title contender, finished the rally third overall, with Burak Erdener taking the Class 3 win.
