Yalçın Fastest in Izmir Cup Opener

The opening round of the 2016 Izmir Autocross Cup was held on Sunday 3 April by the Aydın Automobile Sports Club (AYOSK) at the Menderes Autocross Track, located within the Ege Asal Motor Sport Rally Centre.

In the event, which attracted 14 competitors, the class wins were shared by Bedri Kolsallayan in Category 1 with a Fiat Palio, Yiğit Yalçın in Category 2 with an Opel Astra G, and Mustafa Nazik in Category 3 with a Fiat 124. In addition, the special award from the Izmir Branch of the Turkish Sports Writers Association (TSYD) went to Yiğit Yalçın, the 2015 TOSFED Rallycross Cup Category 1 winner, who set the fastest lap time.
