İSOFF Challenge Takes Breath Away

İSOFF Challenge 2016, organised by the Istanbul Off-Road Club on Sunday 8 May, drew widespread praise for its new track.

The event began with 22 drivers battling it out, and the excitement grew with every round. After the 10 laps run in the first round, 12 vehicles advanced to the second round, and after the 8 laps run in the second round, 8 vehicles remained for the third round. Under the newly introduced ranking system, the third round was run as two groups of four, and the winners and runners-up of each group met in the final. After a final of four laps, contested both sportingly and with real excitement, the winners were the crew of İlyas Tahincioğlu and Mert Ersin Tahincioğlu.

After the final round, where the fiercest battle took place, the İlyas Tahincioğlu and Mert Ersin Tahincioğlu crew became the winners of the first race of İsoff Challenge 2016. The crew of Ali Doğaner and Baybars Öztürk finished second, with Hürriyet Grit and Selçuk Sarı third.

In Class 1, the win went to the crew of Mert Becce and Hakan İsen

In Class 2, the win went to the crew of Ali Doğaner and Baybars Öztürk

In Class 3, the win went to the crew of Atahan Ofluoğlu and Polat Emsan

In Class 4, the win went to the crew of İlyas Tahincioğlu and Mert Ersin Tahincioğlu.

The next race of İSOFF Challenge will be organised on 12 June 2016, with the excitement set to continue from where it left off.
