Toktaş's First European Outing

İsmet Toktaş - Sedat Bostancı, the Bursa-based crew who compete in the Turkish Rally and Circuit Racing Championships, are heading to Greece for Round 3 of the European Rally Championship. Taking on their first rally abroad, the crew will tackle 12 gravel special stages covering 229.8 kilometres in a 686.3km event, and will be aiming for success.

Toktaş, who is competing with Castrol Ford Team Türkiye in an event expected to be run in hot weather, said: "On the Acropolis Rally, where the surface conditions are close to those at home, we will try to be competitive in our class and also to return home with valuable points. Our first goal in Greece is to reach the finish in our first European event with our new-generation Fiesta R2T."
First held in 1952, the Acropolis Rally has long been one of the staples of both the World and European Rally Championships thanks to its famous gravel stages. Still regarded as one of the toughest rallies of the season for its demanding surfaces and weather conditions, this year's Acropolis Rally will see 32 crews in action, five of them from Turkey.
