İskender Zülfikari Crowned WSK Final Cup Champion

Ten-year-old karting driver İskender Zülfikari, who won this season's IAME Italian Series and WSK Open Cup Mini titles, added another success to his list by finishing the season as WSK Final Cup champion.
In the second and final round of the cup, held in Lonato, Italy, on 12-13 November, Turkey's representative finished qualifying third in the Mini class, which featured 122 drivers. After two fourth places, one third and two wins in the heats, Zülfikari started the semi-final from second and won it, earning a fourth-place start on the grid for the final.
Although running eighth after the opening lap of the final, the driver left rivals behind with superb overtakes and, after a bumper-to-bumper fight, took the chequered flag in first place. The first Turkish karting driver to win championships in three different international series in the same season, Zülfikari heard the Turkish national anthem on the podium and lifted the winner's trophy.
Our other representative in the Junior class, national team driver Alp Aksoy, performed very well in the heats but could only finish the final in 19th after contact from a rival.
