Akkafa Brothers Win Hayata Bağış Off-Road Race

The traditional "Hayata Bağış Off-Road Race" was held at Intercity Istanbul Park on Sunday 29 November this year, organised by Istanbul Park Sports Club with the support of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Health and the Hayata Bağış Association.
Staged as a social responsibility project, the event saw a record turnout, with a total of 39 vehicles and 78 competitors from all corners of Turkey taking part.
The race, which consisted of three runs through a 3km stage of 10 gates laid out in the Intercity Istanbul Park off-road area, was followed with great interest by a large crowd of spectators.
At the event, where both competitors and spectators were able to register as organ donors, brothers Caner and Malik Akkafa took victory in their Toyota Hilux. Nihat Keskin and Yasemin Toker finished second in a Detoro, while Hüseyin Memi and Şükrü Aslan took third overall in a Jeep CJ5.
Deniz Dağlı and Hür Semih Noyan won Class 1 in a Suzuki Vitara, and Ali Günpay and Cengiz İnceli won Class 2 in a Suzuki Grand Vitara, while the Akkafa brothers took the Class 3 win and Keskin and Toker the Class 4 win.
