Bostancı and Vatansever Win in Eskişehir

The winners of the International ESOK Rally, which formed part of the 2019 European Rally Trophy and awarded points to the Balkan Rally Trophy, were Murat Bostancı-Onur Vatansever, competing for Castrol Ford Team Türkiye in a Ford Fiesta R5.
Organised by the Eskişehir Automobile Sports Club with 59 cars and 118 competitors taking part, the order at the end of the rally's first day remained unchanged on the second. Rain ahead of the final two stages on day two left the crews struggling with tyre choice, but Burak Çukurova-Vedat Bostancı, driving a Skoda Fabia R5 for BC Vision Motorsport, took second place, while Deniz Fahri-Bahadır Gücenmez, in a Skoda Fabia R5 from the same team, secured third. BC Vision Motorsport won the rally's team classification, while Castrol Ford Team Türkiye took the manufacturers' title.
Visiting Bulgarian crew Yordan Atasanov-Yanaki Yanakiev won the ERT2 class in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, Ümit Can Özdemir-Batuhan Memişyazıcı of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye took the ERT3 win in a Ford Fiesta R2T, and the ERTJ winners were And Sunman-Efe Ersoy, also of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye in a Ford Fiesta R2T.
In the national classification, the Class N winners were Uğur Soylu-Mehmet Köleoğlu in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, the Class 3 winners were Fatih Kara-Bilge Ayan in a Fiat Egea 1.4 T-Jet for the Fiat Motorsporları team, the Class 5 winners were Hakan Kerci-Soner Çevik in a Ford Fiesta R1, and the young drivers' winners were Ali Türkkan-Onur Aslan in a Fiat Egea 1.4 T-Jet.
In the Historic rally classification, open to rally cars over 35 years old, Engin Kap-Özden Yılmaz of Parkur Racing won in a Ford Escort MK2, Kemal Gamgam-Orkun Demir of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye took second in a Ford Escort MK2, and Uygar Birgili-Afşin Baydar, entered privately in a BMW 316, finished third.
In the Zafer Vatansever Rally Trophy, İlhan Mutluay-Cumhur Önder took victory in a Citroen C2, also winning Category 2, Çağlar Ünüvar-Murat Yılmaz took second place and the Category 3 win in an Opel Astra GSI, and Özcan Söke-Barkın Şahin finished third in a Ford Fiesta ST. Özcan Öz-İlker Çaçen in a Peugeot 106 GTI won Category 1, and Yüksel Özgür-Ersin Tunç won Category 4.
The 2019 Turkish Rally Championship continues with Istanbul Rally, to be held on the Anatolian side of Istanbul on 6-7 July.
