TEXOFF Takes Victory in Düzce
The sixth race of the season in the Turkish Trial Championship was held at the Kaynaşlı Motorsports Centre on 15-16 October, with 7 teams, 14 vehicles and 28 competitors taking part. The event, in which teams of two vehicles and four competitors start together and support one another to get through demanding terrain, was organised by Düzce Offroad Club, known by its abbreviation DOSOD with the support of Düzce Municipality and Kaynaşlı Municipality.
The crews fought to clear obstacles too tough for a single vehicle, using the best strategies to get through in the shortest time. After two gruelling days of competition, Texxoff, made up of the crews of Emirhan Kutlu-Ali Çapan (Jeep Cherokee) and Uğur Demirci-Muhammed Zor (Jeep CJ8), won the event with a total time of 2 hours 5 minutes 16 seconds.
Team Mobil1, comprising Ertan Uçar-Mehmet Berat Atagün and Şencan Özkurt-Fuat Sarper in Suzuki Vitaras, took second place with a time of 2 hours 15 minutes 46 seconds. Third place went to the Kayalar team of Selim Ustaoğlu-Ali Demirarak and Osman Balkı-Cemafer Bulut, driving Land Rovers, with a time of 6:54.17.
The seventh and final round of the 2016 Turkish Trial Championship will be organised in Istanbul by Beykoz Offroad Club (BEYOFF) on 5-6 November.
