Drifting Season Kicks Off at Körfez

The season opener of drifting, which has been organised at local level under the name Apex Masters Turkish Drift Series by the Drift Motorsports Club since 2011 and was elevated to national status last season, will take place on Sunday 30 April at the TOSFED Izmit Körfez Circuit...

PWR Balata is the title sponsor of the Apex Masters Turkish Drift Championship, which is supported by Spor Toto, RedBull.com Power FM, PDS Medya and Motul. In the opening round, 18 cars will put on an unforgettable visual show in front of a large crowd.
The event, in which BMW and Nissan cars with engine outputs ranging from 200 to 700 horsepower make up the majority, will begin with administrative and technical checks on Saturday 29 April. Following practice and qualifying laps held the same day, the "top 16" drivers who will compete on Sunday will be determined.

On Sunday 30 April, after practice laps starting at 10:00, spectators will get the chance to meet the drivers and their drift cars up close at a introduction ceremony at 12:00. The first round of the season, which gets under way with head-to-head battles at 13:00, will provide those watching with smoky, adrenaline-filled, door-to-door action until 17:00.
