DOSD Extrial Heads to Şile

Extrial, the longest race in off-road sport – a discipline whose fan base and number of competitors have grown in recent years – is a local off-road event organised by the Şile Outdoor Sports Club (DOSD) with the support of Şile Municipality on 13-14 August.

In an event that will feature several firsts, two special stages will be run over two days in the spectacular landscape of Şile, Istanbul. Each stage is 2km long and will include 25 gates to be negotiated, made up of tough natural obstacles.

Unlike in regular trial events, the teams will compete with one vehicle and two drivers (driver and co-driver) rather than two vehicles. There are no other teammates to call on for help on the demanding stages. On the difficult courses, they will spend at least 150 minutes on their own. On the 4km challenge, run over Şile's stages of natural obstacles, a visual spectacle is guaranteed.
