Çağlayan Çelik Reviews His 2024 Season
Competing for Atış Motorsport in 2024 with the backing of Aloft Hotel and Sheraton Bursa, Çağlayan Çelik reviewed the season for turkmotorspor.com readers and shared his goals for 2025.
Sarıkamış Rally
We began the 2024 season with Atış Motorsport at Sarıkamış, with the aim of winning the 2WD championship. On this special snow event we made a good start to the season and won the 2WD class.
Favourite stage: SS 4-7 Şehitler
Marmaris Aegean Rally
Rally Marmaris was run on asphalt stages and, in my opinion, was the best asphalt rally of the season. We finished second in 2WD and kept our championship challenge alive.
Favourite stage: SS 9 Sarnıç
Rally Bodrum
Rally Bodrum was extended with additional stages on top of the asphalt stages used in 2021. With the new stages added, we really enjoyed that rally, and it was a very closely fought event for us from start to finish.
Favourite stage: SS 8-11 Alazeytin
Yeşil Bursa Rally
We had prepared very well for our home event, Yeşil Bursa Rally. However, we went off the road on the second special stage and retired. We lost serious points on the final asphalt rally of the season.
Favourite stage: SS 6-8 Downtown
ESOK Rally
Eskişehir started well on the new gravel stages, but luck wasn't on our side there either, particularly with tyre choice. The 2WD title was left to be decided at the second gravel rally, Kocaeli…
Favourite stage: SS 1 Kent Ormanı
Kocaeli Rally
On Kocaeli Rally we picked up a puncture midway through the first stage and lost significant time, which ended our 2WD title bid. We completed the season as runners-up in Turkey in the 2WD class.
Favourite stage: SS 2-4 Zeki Doğançay
Istanbul Rally
For the final event of the season, Istanbul Rally, we hired a Skoda Fabia R5 as preparation for the 2025 season. It was a good test for us.
Favourite stage: SS 6-8 Remed Assistance
2025 Goals
We will now continue in the 2025 season with a 4WD car. With our new Rally3 car, our goal, as always, will be to finish at the top.
