Spectacular Off-Road Track Coming to Bolu
Bolu Mayor Alaaddin Yılmaz hosted the board members of Bolu Off-road Club in his office.
Announcing that an international-standard off-road track will shortly be brought to Bolu, Mayor Alaaddin Yılmaz met with Bolu Off-road Club President Burhan Turan and the club's board members. Speaking during the visit, at which the details of the project that has excited off-road enthusiasts were discussed, President Turan said: "I believe that once this project is completed, it will make a great contribution to Bolu. On behalf of Bolu Off-road Club, we thank you very much for this work."
During the visit, Mayor Alaaddin Yılmaz, who said Bolu would become the training camp centre for all sports, said: "We have been working towards this for many years. Among the sporting disciplines, off-road is what young people looking for excitement are interested in right now, and we have started work on an off-road track that can host events of the highest quality. Within the same area, we are of course also considering building an international motocross track and a velodrome for cycling enthusiasts. Our work on this is continuing." Continuing, Yılmaz said the off-road project was ready and that they could seek support to ensure the construction was carried out properly: "I have spoken with my colleagues about building the off-road track, and we need the support of both you and TOSFED. We have the project, but your views are very important to us so that there are no shortcomings in the build."
Bolu Off-road Club President Burhan Turan said they were ready to give every kind of support, adding: "We are a club registered with TOSFED. With the support we receive from the federation, we hope to bring local and national events to our Bolu and to use our 80-decare site in the most efficient way." Continuing, Turan described Bolu as a magnificent city situated between two metropolises and famed for its natural beauty, saying: "I believe that once this project is completed, it will make a great contribution to Bolu.
