Another International Success for Berkay

Turkish karting driver Berkay Besler, who travelled to Spain as the championship leader, secured the title after the final round of the X30 Euro Series, adding another achievement to his list of international successes.
Besler, who crowned his superb performance in Italy with a win and held the lead on 88 points, had said ahead of the Spanish round: "My aim is to become champion, have our national anthem played again and bring new joy to my country..."
The racing at the 1700-metre Zuera circuit provided tremendous excitement throughout the weekend. Starting the 11-lap pre-final from fourth on the grid on Sunday, Besler set the fastest lap with a 1.04.931 and finished the race in third. The final was 16 laps long, and for our representative to reach a happy ending, a finish ahead of British rival Brett Ward was needed. Besler again set the fastest lap, with a 1.05.185, and with speed, control and intelligent driving took second place behind local driver Leon Carlos, leaving rival Brett Ward behind.
With this result, Besler kept the promise made before the race, raising the points tally to 172 to finish 3 points ahead of Ward and take the 2016 X30 Euro Series title, adding another significant achievement on behalf of our country.
