Baja Bolu Takes Competitors' Breath Away

The third round of the Bitci.com 2021 TOSFED Baja Cup was organised by the Bolu Doğa Sporları ve Offroad Kulübü (BOLOFF) on 4-5 December.
Contested by 16 vehicles and 32 competitors, Baja Bolu began on Friday 3 December with a ceremonial start in front of the historic Bolu Governorate building. On Saturday 4 December the crews completed the first day by tackling the Moonsport stage between Demirciler and Aladağ, before facing tough terrain and weather conditions on Sunday 5 December in the 14 Burda stage in the Çakmaklar area.
Competing in a Can-Am X3, İsrafil Akyüz-Timur Sancak won the event overall and in the SSV class with a time of 03:43:09, with Barbaros Yangın-Ali Osman Kutanoğlu, also in a Can-Am X3, finishing second, 18 seconds behind. Third place overall went to Batuhan Korkut-Mert Tepe in a Mitsubishi L200 with a total time of 03:45:27. The Korkut-Tepe crew also won the TH 2.1 class, while Mert Becce-Sertaç Tatar took the win in TH 1.1 and Bener Baş-Yavuz Türkmen won TH 1.2.
The podium finishers received their awards from Bolu Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Hakan Doğanay, Bolu Deputy Mayor Rasim Özdemir and event officials.
