Ardeşen Ready for Major Event

The excitement of the 2017 Turkish Off-road Championship moves to Rize Ardeşen on 20-21 May... The event, organised by the Ardeşen Offroad Club (ARDOFF) with the support of Çaykur, is expected to attract strong interest from competitors and spectators alike.The endurance and obstacle stages laid out at the Fırtına Deresi location in the Ardeşen district will give the crews a tough time. The first day of the event begins at 12:00 on Saturday 20 May and finishes at 18:00, while the second day will run between 10:00 and 15:00 on Sunday 21 May.
On the first day the crews will tackle the 8.30 km endurance stage, named after Şehit Emrah Aytemiz, and on the second day the 6.30 km obstacle stage, named after Şehit Caner Kesimal, where they will be working hard for a fast, error-free run against the clock.Ahead of the Ardeşen event, the Mustafa Akın-Emre Köksalan crew lead the Turkish Off-road Championship standings on 20 points, followed by Engin Başkurt-Şükrü Mindiloğlu in second on 17 points and Kenan Özsoy-Hüseyin Uyar in third on 15 points.
