Ahmet Keskin Keeps Up the Pace
The 100th Anniversary Hill Climb, part of the AVIS 2022 Turkish Hill Climb Championship, was held on 13-14 August in Kütahya by Frigya Spor Kulübü (FSK) as part of the events marking the 100th anniversary of the 30 August Victory. Organised with the support of the Kütahya Governorate and Kütahya Municipality and sponsored by NG Kütahya Seramik, the fourth hill climb of the 2022 season, with ICRYPEX as title sponsor, also attracted great interest from local people.
After three runs on the 7.5-kilometre Radar road, İlker Aktaş of Ülkü Motorsport took the win in Category 1 with an Opel Corsa GSI, while Sevcan Sağıroğlu (Ford Fiesta R1) was second and Bahadır Sevinç (Citroen Saxo VTS) third to complete the podium. In Category 2, Kaan Kara of Ülkü Motorsport was the fastest driver of the day in a Fiat Punto S1600, with team-mate Cem Yudulmaz second in a Ford Fiesta R2T and Çiğdem Tümerkan third in a Citroen Saxo VTS.
In Category 3, young driver Ahmet Keskin, racing for Neo Motorsport in an Opel Corsa OPC, was once again the fastest of all, with Murat Soyçopur (GP Garage My Team, Renault Clio R3) second and Kemal Gürsoy (Ülkü Motorsport, Opel Corsa OPC) third. 
In Category 4, Selim Bacıoğlu of GP Garage My Team won in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX and also set the fastest time of the day. Ümit Ülkü of Ülkü Motorsport finished the day second in this category in an Opel Corsa OPC, with Sinan Soylu of GP Garage My Team third in a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX. 
Ülkü Motorsport took the teams' win, while in the women's classification, contested by five drivers, Eda Soylu (Opel Corsa OPC) was first, Sevcan Sağıroğlu (Ford Fiesta R1) second and Çiğdem Tümerkan (Citroen Saxo VTS) third.
The AVIS 2022 Turkish Hill Climb Championship continues with the fifth round, to be held in Kınık, İzmir, on 3-4 September by İzmir Motorsporları ve Otomobil Kulübü (İMOK).
