2018's Fastest Receive Their Awards

The 2018 TOSFED Gala Night, at which awards were presented to the drivers and teams who finished on the podium across the disciplines in the 2018 motorsport season, took place at the Emek Stage in Istanbul on the evening of Saturday 22 December, with many figures from business, politics and society in attendance.
At the evening, which was also attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, Director General of Sports Mehmet Baykan, and Spor Toto Organisation President Bünyamin Bozgeyik, awards were presented to the drivers and teams who finished at the top of the overall and class standings in the national championships in rally, trial, off-road, drifting, circuit racing, karting, rallycross, hill climb and classic car disciplines.
The evening also honoured the drivers who represented Turkey abroad and reached the podium, as well as those who competed in the TOSFED Is Looking for a Star 2018 project, while plaques were also handed out to sponsor companies, provincial stewards' panels, provincial representatives, organising clubs and the events that received the highest observer scores in their disciplines.
At this special evening, Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu presented the awards to the 2018 Turkish Rally Champions Burak Çukurova-Vedat Bostancı and the 2018 Turkish Rally Team Champions Ford Motorsport Türkiye, and also gave plaques to Salih Yoluç and Ayhancan Güven, who achieved a historic success for Turkey in motorsport by winning the FIA GT Nations Cup, held for the first time this year.
In his speech at the evening, Minister Kasapoğlu said: "As a Ministry, we value the development and progress of motorsport. You represent our country successfully on the international stage. We aim to take these successes to even better levels. On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate our Federation President Serkan Yazıcı and his board. That is why we attended this special evening together with all of my colleagues. I hope this will serve as extra motivation for you as well. I also congratulate our award-winning drivers this evening, and everyone who has devoted their hearts and time to this work. Next year, with new drivers and new stars, we will spend an even more successful year together for motorsport. As a Ministry, we will continue to support you more than ever."
After the speeches, awards were presented to the drivers who finished on the podium across the 9 national disciplines and their various classes, and the evening ended with a group photograph.
