Champion Back on Top One Year On

The Intercity Hayata Bağış Off-road Race was organised by İstanbul Park Spor Kulübü, with the support of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Health and the Hayata Bağış Derneği, and took place on 10-11 December 2016 with 58 competitors taking part.

The first day featured a 21km Intercity forest stage, while the second day was run on a stage prepared on an off-road course built on a 600-decare site, with the battle producing colourful scenes. Competitors and spectators also pledged organ donations during the event, contributing to this social responsibility project.

At the finish, 2015 Turkish Off-road Champion Ahmet Ünlü, with Selçuk Akkafa in a newly built Nissan Navara, took the overall win and the Class 4 win. Ekrem Aydın-Hasan Özcan claimed second overall and the Class 3 win in a Mitsubishi Pajero, while Tarık Gökbay-Selçuk Dayangaç took third in a DEtoro.
In Class 1, Mert Becce-Hakan İsen won in a Suzuki Jimny, and in Class 2, Onur Alptekin-Tamer Akdağ took the win in a Suzuki Grand Vitara.
