Volkan Işık Set for Surprise Return at Sarıkamış

Volkan Işık, who last competed in the Turkish Rally Championship in 2012 with a Skoda Fabia S2000 for Team 47, is preparing to get back behind the wheel after a six-year break at the Sarıkamış Rally. Doruk Gökşin will sit alongside Işık as co-driver on the "first snow rally", which will be held in the Sarıkamış district of Kars on 9-10 March.

The champion driver's career honours include the 1995 Turkish Rally Championship title, second place in the 1999 World Rally Championship FIA Teams' Cup, second place in the 2007 European Rally Championship and third place in the 2008 European Rally Championship. Işık will start in the 450 HP Mitsubishi Lancer Maxi Evo belonging to Team 47, developed in the Neo Motorspor garage.
