Castrol Ford Team Türkiye will compete with two crews in Rally Rzeszow in Poland, the fifth round of the European Rally Championship, from 3-5 August. A total of 96 crews will take part in the rally, which will be held on asphalt stages in the Polish city of Rzeszow. In Rally Rzeszow, made up of 11 special stages and 214.63 km, Castrol Ford Team Türkiye will be represented by Murat Bostancı-Onur Vatansever in a Fiesta R5 and Buğra Banaz-Burak Erdener in a Fiesta R2T.
Banaz-CFTT_ERC2017-AzoresThanks to the important points won at the Acropolis Rally and the Cyprus Rally, Buğra Banaz-Burak Erdener, one of the team's young crews, have moved into the championship lead in the ERC3 category for two-wheel-drive cars, ahead of British rival Chris Ingram. Castrol Ford Team Türkiye, which has set its sights on the teams' championship in the European Rally Championship for the 2017 season, won the two-wheel-drive teams' title in the European Rally Championship last year, in addition to its Turkish Rally Championship titles, which it has won for six years in a row.
Serdar_BostanciSpeaking ahead of the event, Castrol Ford Team Türkiye Team Director Serdar Bostancı said: "We have left four rounds behind us in the European Rally Championship. We took the lead at the Acropolis Rally, the third round of the season, and we held on to it with the valuable points we won at the Cyprus Rally. Thanks to the performance of our crews competing in the two-wheel-drive category, we scored important points and managed to keep our lead.
