Shell Helix Becomes Turkish Rally Championship Title Sponsor

Shell Helix has become the title sponsor of the 2020 Turkish Rally Championship. The Shell Helix 2020 Turkish Rally Championship, which includes the Rally Turkey organised by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED), will begin with the Sarıkamış Rally on 29 February.

Saying that they were delighted to contribute to the Turkish Rally Championship with the Shell Helix brand, Shell & Turcas Corporate Communications Director Meltem Okyar Perdeci said: "With our Shell Helix brand, we are proud to bring our innovation strength to Turkey's most important motorsport organisation and to lend our name to the championship." Perdeci also added: "In the Turkish Rally Championship, cars compete against each other in demanding conditions, from snow and ice to gravel and tarmac roads, in temperatures ranging from -10°C to +30°C. Because of the conditions the cars are exposed to, using reliable products that protect and lubricate the engine without any loss of power or performance plays a vital role in the crews' success. These tough stages also provide an ideal environment to showcase the performance of Shell Helix. I hope that with Shell Helix we will help the drivers taking part in the 2020 Turkish Rally Championship get the most out of their cars on every stage."

TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı, meanwhile, said they were pleased that Shell Helix had become the title sponsor of the Turkish Rally Championship and to be working with a brand that contributes to motorsport worldwide, adding: "We know the contribution Shell Helix makes to raising engine performance for the brands and teams it works with in world motorsport events. We believe Shell Helix will add value to the 2020 Turkish Rally Championship both with its name and with its performance."
