Sezer Takes Part in Zilyoni Furgon Rally
Turkish driver Selami Sezer returned home with a friendship plaque from the Zilyoni Furgon Rally, held in the Ivanovka district of Odessa on 24-25 September 2016.
At the event, which was started by Ivanovka District Governor Tatiyana Novikova, Sezer, who is also a chef, won over spectators with the dishes prepared at the Turkish food stand set up for the occasion.
Receiving the friendship plaque from Odessa Automobile Club President Viktor Şapovalov, Sezer said: "I can say it was a rally in which friendship won in every respect. Although my co-driver Liliya Viviç and I did not see the finish because of an unfortunate accident at the 8th kilometre of the first stage, the message of friendship created by participants from many countries and a variety of cultures together was this event's greatest success. Experiencing such friendship amid the tension the world has entered in recent years helps us once again to grasp the importance of peace. I would like to thank Yorgo Bogatkin of Bogatkin Rally Team for the valuable support, and everyone who supported us."
