Championship Decider Set for Istanbul

In a closely fought Shell Helix 2021 Turkish Rally Championship, the title will be decided at Istanbul Rally, the sixth round of the season. The 41st Istanbul Rally, which also counts towards the Turkish Historic Rally Championship and the Şevki Gökerman Rally Cup, will be run on the Anatolian side of Istanbul on 27-28 November with 70 cars and 140 competitors.
The event, organised by the İstanbul Otomobil Sporları Kulübü, known by its abbreviation İSOK, and sponsored by Budget and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, will begin with a ceremonial start at Viaport Marina in Tuzla at 19:15 on the evening of Friday 26 November.
On the first day of the rally, Saturday 27 November, the crews will start from Autodrom at 10:00 and tackle the Ballıca and Göçbeyli stages twice each, before finishing the day back at Autodrom from 15:40.
The second day will begin at 09:30 on Sunday 28 November, with the crews running the Oruçoğlu and Budget stages twice each as they fight for the rally win and the Turkish title. The 41st Istanbul Rally, run over two days on a 335-kilometre route including 105 kilometres of special stages, will end with a finish ceremony and prize-giving at Autodrom at 16:30 on Sunday 28 November.
After the five rounds run so far in the Shell Helix 2021 Turkish Rally Championship, Buğra Banaz-Gürkal Menderes and Burak Çukurova-Vedat Bostancı, as well as Ümit Can Özdemir-Batuhan Memişyazıcı, are all still in contention for the Turkish Rally Championship title.
