Şahintepe Autocross Delivers Thrilling Action
A total of 27 competitors took part in the Şahintepe Autocross Races, organised by the Bursa Automobile Sports Club (BOSSEK) with the support of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Gemlik Municipality. Across a weekend that featured two separate races, the drivers battled for places on the 1.3-kilometre dirt track.
In both races, Onur Sinirdere took the win in Category 1, Hakan Ertarman in Category 2 and Ömer Güneş in Category 3. In Category 4, Efe Üründül won the first race and Çağlayan Çelik the second, while in Category 5 Emre Avcı won the first race and Serdar Canbek the second.
The trophies were presented to the podium finishers at a ceremony held at Kumla İskele Square by Gemlik Mayor Şükrü Deviren, Bursa Provincial Sports Director Rahmi Aksoy and BOSSEK President Mete Pala.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Deviren pointed out that Gemlik is a city of sport and thanked BOSSEK for its contribution to the district. Highlighting that Gemlik hosted two different national events over the weekend, Deviren said they would always stand by sport and its competitors.
