Trial Excitement in Safranbolu

The fifth round of the season in trial, a discipline in which teams made up of 2 vehicles and 4 competitors start at the same time and try to complete the course by supporting one another over tough terrain, was held with 8 teams, 16 vehicles and 32 competitors. At the endurance event organised in Safranbolu by Karabük Offroad Club (KARDOFF), the crews fought to clear, in the shortest possible time and using the most suitable strategies, tough obstacles that could not be overcome by the power of a single vehicle.

After two days of hard competition, Team Mobil1, made up of Ertan Uçar-Mehmet Berat Atagün and Şencan Özkurt-Fuat Sarper, who competed in Suzuki Vitaras, won the event with a total time of 2 hours 49 minutes 20 seconds. Kingoff Trial Team, comprising the crews of Musa Ceylan-Muharrem Ekebil in a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Cihangir Gürcan-Avni İnce in a Land Rover Defender, took second place with a total time of 5 hours 50 minutes, while third place went to the Texxoff team, made up of Emirhan Kutlu-Ali Çapan in a Jeep Cherokee and Uğur Demirci-Muhammed Zor in a Jeep CJ8, with a total time of 6 hours 20 minutes.

The sixth round of the 2016 Turkish Trial Championship will be organised by the Düzce Automobile and Off-road Club (DOSD) on 15-16 October at the Kaynaşlı Motorsport Centre in Düzce.
