Rally Season Finale to Be Held in Çorum

The seventh and final round of the 2016 Turkish Rally Championship, the 43rd Hitit Rally, will be organised in Çorum on 28-29 October by the Ankara Automobile Sports Club, known by its abbreviation ANOK. Last year, with the support of Çorum Mayor Muzaffer Külcü, the Hitit Rally was held as part of the TOSFED Rally Cup. This year, with the contribution of Çorum Municipality, it is being run as the finale of the national championship.

The rally will begin with a start at 15:30 on Friday 28 October from Kültürpark. On the opening day, the crews will tackle a spectator stage set up inside the Fairground. After this stage, which will be run under the name Çorum Municipality, the first day of the rally will be complete from 16:50.

On the second day, the action continues from 08:30 on the Ahmediye and Gemed stages in the Çorum Dam area. After these two special stages, named after Şehit Erol Olçak and Cem Celal Işık, have each been run three times, the rally will conclude at 15:30 with the Redbull.com Power Stage (bonus stage). The 43rd Hitit Rally, with a total length of 157 km and 71 km of special stages, will finish on the finish podium in front of Çorum Municipality from 15:55.

Ahead of the season finale, Neo Motorspor's Peugeot Sport Türkiye-backed crew of Yağız Avcı-Bahadır Gücenmez lead the championship standings on 87 points, while Castrol Ford Team Türkiye top the teams' championship on 128.4 points...
