Season Finale of the Turkish Rally Championship Heads to Istanbul

The season finale of the 2015 Turkish Rally Championship, the 36th Istanbul Rally, is being organised on 14-15 November by the Istanbul Automobile Sports Club, known by its abbreviation İSOK, with the support of Ford, Tüyap, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, TTOK, Fiat, Şişli Municipality, The Green Park Hotel, Sardunya Restaurant and İPOP. İstanbul Park Oto Pazarı (İPOP) will host the event, serving as the start, finish, service park and rally headquarters, while the spectator stage on Saturday evening, 14 November, will also be run within the grounds of Istanbul Park.
On the first day of the rally, which gets under way with the start from İstanbul Park Oto Pazarı at 13:15 on Saturday 14 November, the crews will tackle the 18.75 km Göçbeyli, 7.60 km Ulupelit and 13.75 km Oruçoğlu stages in turn, before having their cars serviced and refuelled in the service park at İPOP. From 16:12, the crews will run the 2.80 km gravel spectator stage behind Istanbul Park, then head to the closed park after the end-of-day service to complete the first day.
On the second day of the rally, the fight resumes from 09:45 on the Göçbeyli, Ulupelit and Oruçoğlu stages. After six stages on Sunday, the crews will complete the 36th Istanbul Rally, which covers a total of 236 kilometres over 10 stages, on the finish podium at İPOP from 16:00.
Ahead of the final rally of the season, Murat Bostancı/Onur Vatansever of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye had already secured the 2015 Turkish Rally Championship title and, by winning the 2015 European Rally Cup as well, brought great pride to the country. Although the champion is already decided before the 36th Istanbul Rally, the fact that the battles in the classes are still ongoing will bring competition of its own.
