Rally Championship Heads to Istanbul

Round five of the 2017 Turkish Rally Championship, Istanbul Rally 2017, will be organised by the Istanbul Automobile Sports Club, known by its abbreviation İSOK, on 8-10 September. Supported by Intercity Istanbul Park, İPOP, Tuzla Municipality, Spor Toto, Mirsan and T.T.O.K., the event will be run on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
The rally will begin on Friday 8 September with administrative and technical checks. Crews will make their pace notes for the stages they will compete on during the recce between 09:00 and 18:00, while between 18:00 and 20:00 any crews who wish to can take part in a test run to make final adjustments to their cars.
On Saturday 9 September, the start will be given from Tuzla Şelale Park at 12:00. On the first day of the rally, crews will tackle the 16.19km Mudarlı and 11.06km Darlık special stages twice each, before competing from 18:13 on the 3.44km gravel spectator special stage at Intercity Istanbul Park. After the spectator stage, the first day of the rally will finish with the end-of-day service, followed by overnight parc fermé at Intercity Istanbul Park.
On the final day, Sunday 10 September, the action resumes from 10:30 on the Esenceli (9.94km) and Göçbeyli (15.80km) stages. After these two special stages have each been run twice, the tough battle will conclude at 15:00 with the Redbull.com Power Stage at Intercity Istanbul Park. On the rally's final stage, crews will play their cards in a bid to finish in the top three of the overall classification and their classes and so take extra points into the championship, before finishing Istanbul Rally 2017 on the finish podium at İPOP from 16:00.
