Obel Cıvata 29th Aegean Rally This Weekend

The opening round of this season's Turkish Rally Championship, the Obel Cıvata 29th Aegean Rally, is being organised by the Ege Otomobil Sporları Kulübü on 13-14 April in the Seferihisar area of İzmir.

The Obel Cıvata 29th Aegean Rally, supported by title sponsor Obel Cıvata, is co-sponsored by Dap Yapı, Euphoria Aegean Resort & Spa, Spor Toto, Auto Club, Power FM and Akdoruk Su, and is being held with the contribution of the İzmir Governorship, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Seferihisar District Governorship, Seferihisar Municipality, Menderes District Governorship and Menderes Municipality.
With the Seferihisar market place serving as the service park, the crews will leave the rally centre in front of the European Aegean Resort Hotel at 12:00 on Saturday 13 April. They will tackle the Beyler stage twice before ending the day on the Dap Yapı spectator stage. With the spectator stage moved to Sığacık this year, the event will take on a festival atmosphere, and in the most beautiful month of spring the Aegean sea breeze will mingle with the sound of the cars of Turkey's most successful rally drivers.
Taking their places behind the wheel at 10:00 on Sunday morning 14 April, the crews will be put to the test on the second day of the Obel Cıvata 29th Aegean Rally on the Zafer Vatansever, Euphoria Aegean and İbrahim Talda stages, which run through the villages of Çatalca, Maden and Gödence and will each be run twice. The event will finish at 16:30 on the finish podium in the service park and, besides the Turkish Rally Championship, will award points towards the Turkish Historic Rally Championship and the Zafer Vatansever Rally Cup.
