For the first time, a Turkish team and driver are entering the European Rally Trophy, described as the UEFA Cup of the rally world. Castrol Ford Team Türkiye will take part in the series at the Rally Bulgaria, to be held on 17-19 July, and aims to finish the 2015 European Rally Trophy season with very strong results, above all the championship title.

Castrol Ford Team Türkiye, headed by Serdar Bostancı, who has now completed 40 years in Turkish motorsport, is entering the ERT, the European Rally Trophy, to represent Turkey. The driver representing the country in this demanding championship on behalf of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye will be last year's Turkish Rally champion, Murat Bostancı. Just one week after Rally Bulgaria, Murat Bostancı will contest his second European Rally Trophy event at the Bosphorus Rally, held in Turkey and the country's most important international event, where he will push the limits on the stages with the points he collects in pursuit of the European Rally Trophy title.

Ahead of the event, Murat Bostancı said: "We will start the season with Rally Bulgaria. It is one of the three to five most important, highest-coefficient events in the series. Just a week later comes the Bosphorus Rally, which we host and which we won last year. For this decision we received great support from our sponsors and the wider motorsport community. Their trust and encouraging approach mean a great deal to us. On top of that, who we get support from is also very important. Just as Kenan Sofuoğlu made people love motorcycling, and international successes in basketball and volleyball mobilised the masses, I believe we will experience the same thing for rallying. It is very important that we have international goals and raise heroes who achieve them. A proud moment like Arda Turan's transfer to Barcelona is possible in rallying too. Why shouldn't one of our own driver sit in the driving seat of a team in the World Rally Championship? Creating local heroes and the successes we win by representing our country bring widespread support with them."
